Gibbons Curling Club Fundraising Event

ATTENTION:    All Curling Club Members – TICKET SALES

Payment by Cash or Cheque only ($40 per ticket)


Tickets have to be sold in “rounds” to ensure all members have an opportunity to attend. 

**Priority order will be determined in Round #1 by first come, first paid, first served.  The established priority order will be applied to subsequent rounds. 

ROUND #1 – (Tuesday, Feb 16 –6:00 pm – 9:00 pm @ Curling Club) Regular league members where a “couple” are both league members will be allowed to purchase up to 2 tickets.  Individuals whose spouse/significant other is not a league member will also be allowed to purchase up to 2 tickets … this way everyone has their dance partner!

At the time you purchase your Round #1 tickets you can request any number of guest tickets.  Your request will be recorded and guest tickets will be sold in subsequent rounds in the same priority order (see ** above). 

ROUND #2 –  (Subject to ticket availability) You will be contacted between Feb 17 –Feb 18 if your requested guest tickets are available.  Maximum this round is 8 for couples and 4 for individuals.  Tickets must be paid for and picked up at the curling club on Friday, February 19 from 8:00 – 9:00 pm.  If you are not contacted, the event is sold out.

ROUND #3 – (Subject to ticket availability) You will be contacted after Feb 19 if you indicated a need for guest tickets above the Round #2 limit.  These tickets would be picked up at the curling club on Tuesday, February 23 from 8:00 – 9:00 pmIf you are not contacted, the event is sold out.

DONATIONS FOR THE SILENT/LIVE AUCTION

Every club member is asked to collect as many auction donations as possible. 

Please record the name & address of the donor or request a business card.  This is helpful for the program and for thank you cards after the event.

IMPORTANT: To avoid businesses being approached by more than one person, a master list will be maintained. 

Before approaching for donations, place a quick phone call to name & ph # so she can keep the list up to date and let you know if someone else is already approaching that business/person.  Leave a message on the voice mail if necessary.  If you don’t get a call back, the business is yours to approach.  Remember that by claiming the business you have taken them off the list for anyone else so please be sure you follow through with the donation request.  If you claim a business and decide not to approach them, a quick call to name will take them off the “claimed” list.  Your cooperation with this task keeps businesses from feeling pestered and makes them more willing to donate in the future. 

Some businesses require a formal request for donations in the form of a letter.  A supply of these letters are available on the lounge bulletin board.  Call Jody if the supply is depleted.
